You may remember the amazing Dresden family from our shoot last year! At the time, they were just starting the adoption process and looking into the possibility of adding a third child to their family. Adoption is one of the most beautiful gifts in the world. The fact that a child can have a permanent and safe place to be loved and call home brings us unending joy.

Scott & Lisa adopted Arielle back in March of this year from Birmingham a few nights after she was born. Shortly after, they ended up at Lurie Children’s Hospital because Arielle had trouble breathing & eating because her heart was failing. Our church came together in prayer to ask God for a miracle.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.” -Psalm 23:4

God answered our prayers and now Arielle is 6 months old and in perfect health! It was such a blessing to spend time with the Dresden family at the Chicago Women’s Park and celebrate their new life together as a family of five.
