After the past year of lockdown with a baby, you can only imagine the excitement of getting to celebrate little Zacariah turning one! Asra and Ahmed haven’t had professional photos taken since their wedding, so we couldn’t wait to capture really special memories for their beautiful young family after a long, tough year.

The Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens never disappoints as a lovely nature location with beautiful morning light. We started off with a few family portraits that were so, so cute!

We celebrated Zacariah’s 1st birthday with an adorable cake smash, complete with a beautiful vintage car and all of his best friends: his “party animals.” He dove straight for the cake and enjoyed soaking his hands in the delicious sugary goodness.

This morning with the Salim family was such a gift! We can’t wait to see Zacariah grow and enjoy the world :)
