Jen & Tony's North Ave Beach Engagement Session
Seven years ago, Jen and Tony first met and fell in love at Indiana University.
Ironically, they actually grew up 15 minutes away from each other in Chicago, so it was natural that they made this city their home after graduating. Jen works for the Chicago Bulls and Tony is a Physics & Forensics high school teacher. Together, they are one of the sweetest and most down to earth couples out there.
I met Jen through our time in the same sorority at IU! When Jen reached out about capturing their engagement photos, saying she had been following our work forever and dreamed of us taking their photos one day, I knew it was going to be an incredibly memorable session. (I may have gone overboard and shared a portfolio of almost 300 photos…)
Jen & Tony love walking and running along the lake trail from Ohio Street Beach to North Ave Beach in the summer so we started taking photos at the nearby Milton Olive Lee Park! Their overhanging trees are so lovely and provided the most beautiful framing shots.
The best thing about Milton Olive Lee Park is how you can enjoy the beauty of nature on one side, turn around, and see the most incredible skyline views on the other side.
Jen grew up riding the Navy Pier ferris wheel in the background…how full circle to now take engagement photos in front of the same wheel!
We ended our session along the serene North Ave Beach. It felt like a quick vacay to Lake Michigan! Nothing is more calming than this beautiful water.
Jen’s supermodel windblown hair though… simply gorgeous!
Jen & Tony’s first dance song will be “Dancing in the Moonlight” so we just HAD to do a little dance by the lake!
If an engagement session isn’t fun, you’re not doing it right! We finished with a run in the sand.
So much love for these two!! Thank you so much for letting us share in your engagement journey. Can’t wait for you both to tie the knot!
