Bella's Newborn Session

After having a baby, our hearts have a special place for newborns. Their tiny fragile bodies and wide-eyed wonder captivate us every time. What felt emotional for us is 10x that for baby Bella’s parents, Kristina and Tony.

When we arrived at their home in the Chicago suburbs, Kristina, Tony, baby Bella, and Kristina’s parents greeted us. Something we love about babies is that they bring families together and it’s such a blessing for grandparents to step in and help out the tired parents during those first few weeks of raising baby.

Bella felt right at home in her warm swaddles and sweet little headband. She even fell asleep a few minutes into the session, which had everyone ooh-ing and ah-ing at her good behavior. From widening her eyes to yawning to raising her head every so slightly, every action feels like a paramount achievement and that’s because it is.

We decided we already miss having a newborn and are so thankful we got our newborn fix with the Castro family! Congratulations to Kristina and Tony on their little angel. She is the sweetest gem.
